Steel Blue
For this look, I used matte black shadow all over and winged out in the outer corner, with some Steel Blue on top and a little bit of teal and mint in the crease:I'm turning 30 next thursday and am going to Paris over the weekend, so I'll probably be back to posting in 2 weeks time (:Product List:MAC Bare Canvas, Zoeva 88 Mattes Palette, MAC Steel Blue, Barry M. Up
The inspiration for this look was colourful Kevin from Disney/Pixar's "Up". She's probably the cutest bird ever! And this is the look itself:The lid colour is actually darker than it appears in the pictures! I did this some time ago so I cannot remember exactly what I used, but the lid colour is Lime Crime Duchess, the orange is a Kiko eyeshadow and there are some shades from the Zoeva palette in
Shades of Green
Ok, I'll try to remember what I used for this look - I did it last weekend but haven't got around to posting it until now. I experimented with a slightly different crease shape here - a dark, pretty sharp line that ends in a soft colour gradation:Product ListMAC Bare Canvas,Sugarpill Midori, Sugarpill Darling, NYX Jade, MAC Platinum, MAC Bottle Green, Milani Limbo Lime, Zoeva 88 Mattes palette,
Green Feathers
Since the first time I saw Illamasqua's iconic looks featuring long, feathery lashes on the lower lid, I've been obsessed with finding something similar. I've had a hard time finding lashes that would be suitable for this kind of look, but then I discovered those feather lashes at www.kkcenterhk.com and thought that even though they are somewhat different, they'd be a good start! The only
Gold Leaf
I've been wanting to recreate this look for some months, but had some difficulties in procuring the necessary gold leaf. Via Facebook I got some advice to use gold foil for nail art, and this is what I did! The lashes are again courtesy of http://kkcenterhk.com/ , they are by ES and come in packs of 10 pairs each. They are actually meant to be worn on the upper lid, but I cut them into shape and
Velvet Blue
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by http://kkcenterhk.com/ and asked if I wanted to test some of their false lashes. They have a huge selection (and I mean HUGE!) of all types of lashes, from subtle to outrageous, and I was thrilled to be able to pick some of them! I will definitely order again from them, as falsies are some of my favourite things to play with :)! The first lashes I tried are
Mint Bubbles
Happy new year everyone!!I've been sick for the whole of last week and only today I felt adequate again to getting my brushes out. This time I tried to copy a digital look I came across a few weeks ago. This is the original (source: renderosity.org):My version:Unfortunately my mint colour is less intense, but I didn't bring anything brighter coloured with me :(How to achieve it:1. Prep your lids
Dark Passion
Happy Holidays everyone! Now that Christmas is almost over, things are slowly getting back to normal - and so is the blog! There might even be some more looks than usual over the next few days as I'm on holidays and for once, not travelling! A few days ago, I came across some digital images of fantasy make-up and was wildly inspired by the fabulous designs, so I decided to do something similar
Green Equinox
Blogginbeauties, a dutch beauty blog, is featuring my blog and an interview with me today! Check them out here: blogginbeauties.nlSome weeks ago, a friend sent me some pigments from alva's Green Equinox collection to try! Those are probably the mineral eyeshadows that most resemble MAC pigments, they are much less powdery than most regular mineral products! Therefore, the intensity is almost like
Elegant Smokey Holiday Look
My take on a simple but festive smokey eyes look - for all those who prefer something timelessly elegant for the holidays! This is a very classic concept which I spiced up a tiny bit by adding extra lashes on the lower lash line. The main lid colour is Fyrinnae's Newcastle, mixed with some matte black from the Zoeva palette. The browbone highlighter is MAC Your Ladyship pigment:Product ListFace:
Springtime Elf
I felt like doing something colourful again, and got my Springtime Skipper out - one of my favourite MAC shadows of all time. To give the colour some more punch, I layered it with Chartreuse pigment and a very thin layer of Pure Ore. Crease colours are all from the Zoeva 88 Mattes palette:Product ListMAC Bare Canvas, MAC Springtime Skipper, MAC Chartreuse, MAC Pure Ore, Lime Crime Elf, Zoeva 88
Feathers
I've had this concept in my head for quite some time, but didn't get to try it out until today. Well, I almost failed again today because I discovered I did not have my rechargeable batteries for my external flash with me, but - lucky me - shops were open today and I was able to go and grab some. Hope you like it! It's pretty simple really, the focal point is definitely the eyes here, who are
Ice Crystals
Hey everyone,I'm very busy this weekend (again), so unfortunately I don't have time to do a new look, but I came across this one that's been sitting in my folders for quite some time. I shot it some months ago and then never got to publish it- and I guess it's better than nothing :) It was basically a no-mascara kind of experiment, and it's more about the photography than about the actual make up
Taylormade Coral Gold
Is anyone bored of coral-gold looks yet? I am - kinda, I pictured this to come out differently, but when I applied the colours, it doesn't look much different from other looks I've done before. Oh well, you can't really go wrong with anything coral, right :)?Product ListMAC Bare Canvas, Taylormade Goldie, Taylormade Satellite, Taylormade Coral, Taylormade Blush, NYX Glitterati Cream Palette,
Streak of Gold
I'm back! I had a lovely week in Montpellier and enjoyed some sunshine before winter starts and it gets really cold... This was just one of those looks where I started out without even a trace of a concept, just dipping my brush into a random colour and do whatever fancy strikes me. I started with vivid matte blue in the outer corners, continuing into a lighter shade and finishing with Lime Crime

Water Nymph
What do you do when you`re not feeling inspired? Rummage through your "inspirations" folder and come across a really cool look you wanna dupe! Here's the picture:I tried to copy it as well as I could, right down to the little snow flakes in my hair. Maybe some of you have seen the look before and know the photograph I'm referring to? The look is part mermaid, part snow queen, so it's right up my

Silver Ornaments
I'm not feeling inventive today, so I did a look inspired by one of LaColorópata's absolutely gorgeous looks, but a slightly lighter version with Azreal Blue and Softwash Grey pigments, and some silver nail art ornament stickers:Not as pretty as hers, but it's such an interesting combo I just had to try it out (:Product ListMAC Bare Canvas, MAC Azreal Blue, MAC Softwash Grey, MAC Violet, Zoeva 88
