Made-Up, Make-Up Trends A/W 2010/2011

Farewell to the days of Twiggy rocking the MOD look with extravagant makeup styles and colours galore. This Autumn/Winter saw the comeback of the clean powdered look with a “glow from within” The catwalk saw designers including Fendi using the perfect flawless natural look. A great moisturising serum following the application of a daily foundation, coupled with a pressed powder for a matte and silky beautifully fresh looking face.
Not a fan? Sticking to the natural face why not highlight those gorgeous cheekbones with some iridescent powders or beautiful blushers worn low on the cheeks.
In contrast, gone are the ‘zero-brows’, as the big brows are back in. Add strength by entrusting them to the renowned eyebrow threaders at London’s infamous Blink Brow Bar. Finish the look by brushing through some mascara to give a definitive and bold look or simply smidge on some Vaseline for that bold statement.
Plumped up lips have also been a massive hit on and off the catwalks this season. With a portfolio of such stars as GAGA, Kelly Osbourne, and Mrs Aguilera to name a few wearing what seemed a fruit bowl of lipstick colours all reminiscent of a 50’s pin up poster babe.
